Summer Learning Journey - Justin Bieber Songs

For this activity I had to listen to three Justin Bieber songs (Baby, Sorry and Love Yourself). I then had to rate them. I didn't really like the song Baby. I like Love Yourself better because I liked the way the beat goes.
1. Love Yourself
2. Sorry
3. Baby

  1. Hi Aj,

Like the fact that you put honesty comments about his song and put numbers so people know what you didn't/did like. Great work AJ.

  5. Hi AJ,

It's great to see that you not only ranked the songs but you also provided us with a clear rationale for why you chose the order that you did. This is great! You will need to be able to make clear decisions and then explain or justify them as you move into secondary school. It's great to see you practicing these skills as part of our Summer Learning Journey!

Like you, I really like the beat that Justin has in 'Love Yourself.' It's a pretty catchy song. In fact, my son (Aronui) loves it and he really likes watching the music video for it! I think that he likes it, in part, because Justin is from Canada and he is part-Canadian. We also have some family friends who know one of the men (James) who co-wrote one of Justin's most popular songs - 'Company.' Have you ever heard it?

James and his co-writer have actually been nominated for a Grammy (a very prestigious music award in America) for their work. I hope that they win! The Grammy awards will be televised on 12 February 2017. We'll have to watch and see if James and his partner win. I hope so as James is originally from New Zealand so it will be a huge honour if they win!

Keep up the great work, AJ. I hope that you'll have time to get to some of the other activities as well. There are more than 30 activities left to choose from :)

    Cheers,
    Rachel
