This week LS2 have been focusing on sharing a community message. Eric, Lyric and I created a prezi to show our learning. In our prezi we talked about why your teeth should stay healthy and what happens if you don't keep them healthy. Our targeted audience is Room 5.
I am a Year 8 student at Panmure Bridge School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Learning Space 2 and my teachers are Mrs Anderson, and Ms Kirkpatrick.

Bullying Animation
Today in LS2 we have been talking about bullying. We did this because we are old enough to learn how to stick up for ourselves. If you see someone who is getting bullied, remember to help the victim or you will be as bad as the bully. If you are being bullied use your WITS. They are walk away, ignore, tell someone and stand up. I created this animation with Oh Hsen, Shannon and Daniel.

Why is it so important to keep oral story telling alive?
Today Daniel and I created a 25 word summary to answer the question: Why is it so important to keep oral story telling alive? For this task, we had to listen to some videos that gave answers to the question. The videos were spoken in Maori so we had to use subtitles. We had to work collaboratively with our partners to complete this task. Our summary had 26 words because it sounded better that way.
It’s important to teach younger generations about Maori storytelling to remember the past. It keeps the cultural and traditional stories alive so they won’t be forgotten.

I am in the kapa haka group and we were apart of the performance. Our performance was about keeping our local areas tidy and if we don't we could cause pollution. After our performance we walked around Te Oro to look at other schools work.

Jean Batten Time Line
These are screenshots that I have taken from my time line I have created about Jean Batten with my partner Ma'ata. We had to put in 15 important parts of their lives and the date it happened. We first had to put in the date of birth, her first flight, the date she flew from England to New Zealand, and the date she died.
The Wright Brothers Time Line
These are screenshots that I have taken from my time line I created about the Wright brothers with my partners Ma'ata and Harlem. We had put in the date of birth and the date they died. After we put that in we had to find 15 (including the D.O.B and the date of death) important parts of their lives and the year it happened.
Venn Diagram - The Wright Brothers and Jean Batten
This is my DLO that I have created with my partners Ma'ata and Harlem. The year sevens had to create two time lines. One about Jean Batten and another one who we choose but also had to be an aviator. The aviators I chose were the Wright brothers. We had to make a Venn Diagram and write the differences and similarities about our two aviators.

Year 7 Leadership - Team Building
This is my DLO that I created with Daniel, Eric and Te Wai. On Mondays the year seven do leadership with Mrs Anderson. This week in leadership, we had to make a tower with ten cups. The challenge was that you can't touch the cups with your hands. So we used rubber bands. Everyone worked together as a team and I found this activity very fun.
