For this activity I had to decide if I wanted to be the Prime Minister of New Zealand one day. I am not really sure because if you do become Prime Minister you have got the chance to travel the world but on the other hand it could be quite a lot of work and you might be stressed.
Hi AJ,
ReplyDeleteI think that we are both online at exactly the same time! I see that you are a bit unsure about whether or not you would like to become the Prime Minister of New Zealand. I can completely understand. It would be a very stressful job - arguably the most stressful job in the country. You would be expected to be available at all hours of the day and night to make important decisions about the fate of the country and its' people. On the flip side, you would have many perks such as unlimited travel, a good salary and the ability to effect real, positive change for New Zealanders.
I think that I would prefer to work as a politician alongside the prime minister, rather than be the PM myself. What about you? Would you consider working alongside him/her? Have you ever thought about becoming a politician one day?
Cheers,
Rachel :)
Hi AJ and Rachel, I agree with the fact that you could travel around the world, be a leader and all those kind of things that a prime minister would hold. I wouldn't since just as you said, it would be too much work and also if you had a really bad Nemesis you may get assassination attempts from them (most likely not since I'm sure you should have bodyguards). Anyway keep up the great blogging and commenting.
ReplyDeleteHey AJ
ReplyDeleteI kinda agree with you. Being the Prime Minister would be stressful. Keep up the amazing work!
Daniel
Hi AJ, Daniel and Harry,
DeleteIt would be pretty stressful, I reckon...In fact, the current Prime Minister (Bill English) is currently in the news and under fire because he has decided against traveling to Te Tii Marae on Waitangi Day. It is something that the former Prime Minister, John Key, did almost every year on Waitangi Day and some people are quite upset that Bill English isn't going to go.
Imagine having an entire country passing judgement on you and critiquing your every move. It would be pretty tough! You'd have to able to withstand criticism and be able to handle being disliked. I wonder if Bill English is upset by all of the bad publicity...
