Today some students at PBS went to Pt England Reserve to participate in the inter-school Orienteering. When we got there the grass was slippery and muddy. The year eight boys and I went last. When we started I sprinted to my first control. I was finding each control quite fast. Near the middle I was getting tired of running but I didn't give up. I kept on going and I managed to come fourth out of our school. It took me seventeen minutes to finish the course. I was really proud of myself because I did way better than I did last time.
I am a Year 8 student at Panmure Bridge School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Learning Space 2 and my teachers are Mrs Anderson, and Ms Kirkpatrick.

Orienteering
Today was our last session of orienteering. For this session the year eights joined together with the year sevens. At the beginning we had to get a piece of paper where had to clip the controls on. Our instructors told us that each group or person had to run each 20 seconds. Daniel and Lyndon were in my group. The instructors told us that when we finished we get to take 5 minutes of our time because we started last. We had to do courses. My group was doing well and having lots of fun. When we finished both courses we ran to finish and there were 3 other people there. One of instructors checked our time and took 5 minutes away. Our time was 14 minutes and 15 seconds. It turns out that my group came first.

Orienteering
Today at Panmure Bridge School the year sevens did orienteering. We had to start next to our swimming pool. Then off we went running. Here is an image of me clicking on a control to my paper. For this I was working with my partner Daniel. We both came first. There was a hidden control out of bounds and was behind a bush.
