Panmure Bridge Black Out Day
Today at Panmure Bridge School we had a blackout day. This was to support the All Blacks during the British and Irish Lions tour. Most people wore black clothes to school and some people wore red for the lions. After lunch time the whole school gathered up in the hall. We watched some videos of the All Blacks and the Lions. Then we sang Tutira Mai. After we finished singing the Kapa Haka group stood and I lead the Haka. We then all went to the field to spell out "ALL BLACKS". Mr Wong flew a drone over us and took pictures. My favourite part was at the end where we had to pass the rugby ball around while we say "Go All Blacks".

Everyone then had to record themselves doing their dance routines. When we watched our video we found out that we had to be in time with each other. We also need to work on facing the audience so they can see all of our moves.

Dance
Today for dance Daniel and I have completed our dance routine. We also found music to go with our dance routine. After everyone finished their routine we had to find another pair to show their routine to. We partnered up with Zane and Lyric. We had to record them and show the video to them after to see what they need to work on. We thought that their dance was quite short so they should add some more moves.

Today Te Wai, my sister and I went down to Te Oro with Whaea Odie to learn about the seven stars of Matariki. When we first got their we had a go with the virtual reality. We then went to a different room were we learnt the Maori names for north, south, east and west. We also played a game on a mat that had north, south, east and west on it. The instructor had to call out the Maori name or the english name and we had to run that place on the mat. It kept on getting harder and harder. We then went into a soft tunnel were we watched a video about sailing. We also learnt about the southern cross and the seven stars of matariki. At the end he asked us a few questions.
