Telling The Time

This is my drawing about telling the time. I had to make a time on my clock and I had to write what the time is.

My Clock

This is my clock I made at school. I had to fold my piece of paper super carefully because if fold it cricked I couldn't write my numbers down. I had to get a round container to trace around. Then I had to write down the number in vivid. After that I had to glue it on to a piece of cardboard and cut it out. I then had to decorated it. Then I had to cut out the cardboard and make my minute hand and my hour hand. I then had to put a split pin in the middle of my clock and it was done.

Manaiakalani Film Festival 2014

I couldn't wait today because it was the Manaiakalani film festival. It was the seventh Manaiakalani film festival. It was at Sylvia Park (Hoyts Cinemas). There are 12 schools that are in the Manaikalani. It is so fun because you get to watch short movies. Only 7 schools (including my school)were at Sylvia Park when our school went. My favourite movie was the science hunger games one because it is  super funny. Here is a link to watch it.https://sites.google.com/a/ptengland.school.nz/film-festival-2011/view-films/2014

My Pentominoes Blog Post

Today and yesterday I did a grid puzzle with my buddy Daniel. We had to cut out the shapes and try and find out how to solve it. We had to turn over shapes and move them around. There were 5 squares on each shape. We wanted to fill out the whole grid so we did. This task was about thinking and moving things around. Me and Daniel were the first one to finish.

5 Questions That I Would Ask A Astronaut

5 questions that I would ask an astronaut
1.What kind of food do you eat in space?
I eat similar food that is on earth like fruit and yogurt.

2.How come there is no oxygen is space?
The gases are there because the earth keeps them there. The same is the case with other planets and stars and virtually all celestial bodies. The reason why there's no oxygen or any other gas in space is because there's nothing for it to hold on to.

3.How can you walk when you are on the moon becaause you could float of into outer space?
The moon has 1/6th the gravity of Earth. This means a 300 lbs man (such as an average astronaut with that heavy suit on) would only weigh 50 lbs. This also means that same man would be able to jump a height of 6 times normal, roughly a 15 foot vertical jump!

4.If you are in space for one year,is it the same on earth?
Time dilation explains why two working clocks will report different times after different accelerations. For example, ISS astronauts return from missions having aged slightly less than they would have been if they had remained on Earth, and GPS satellites work because they adjust for similar bending of spacetime to coordinate with systems on Earth.

5.What has been your favourite thing to experience when you were in space?
Going on the moon. It is super cool. You could see earth from up there.
