Winter Solstice - Yalda


Daniel and I have completed a DLO about a Winter Solstice celebration that we found. Yalda is a celebration that was from Iran. Everyone comes together to eat, drink and read poetry. This event happens on the 20th, 21st and the 22nd of December.

    This is a celebration that I didn't know about. It sounds very similar to some of the ways we could celebrate Matariki.
